Job summary

Elliot Health System in Manchester, NH is seeking a Patient Service Representative (PSR) for Employee Health & Wellness to provide essential administrative support. You will handle patient check-in/check-out, schedule appointments, verify demographics and insurance, and assist with urine drug screening collections as needed.

Ideal candidates have a High School Diploma or equivalent and healthcare setting experience.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Previous experience in a health care setting performing similar functions is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Greets, registers, and arrives patients into the department and hospital data management systems.
• Verifies demographic and insurance information, scans insurance card.
• Obtains patient signatures on required hospital forms and routes appropriately.
• Receives incoming telephone calls; triages and/or takes messages as needed.
• Enters patient registration, referral information, and appointments into the EMR.
• Requests medical records from referring facilities for new patient appointments as needed.
• Follows department process for logging in/out of imaging studies and schedules ancillary appointments.
• Assists in orientation of new employees to office functions.
