Job summary

Kelsey-Seybold Clinic in Houston (part of the Optum family) seeks Patient Service Technicians at levels I and II. The role supports patient care under licensed professionals, performing phlebotomy, basic lab tests, and clerical duties across multiple clinics.

Ideal candidates have a high school diploma or GED, a phlebotomy program or equivalent experience, BLS certification, and comfort with computer systems.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Completion of accredited Phlebotomy Program or 1+ year phlebotomy experience.
• BLS certification through American Heart Association or ability to obtain within 30 days.
• Experience with Windows-based software.

Responsibilities

• Perform venipuncture, finger sticks, heel sticks and other collection as ordered.
• Perform CLIA waived tests (urine dip, pregnancy tests, glucose, etc.) per lab procedures.
• Maintain accurate lab records and support inspections and audits by supervisors and CLIA surveyors.
• Perform quality controls and participate in proficiency testing as required.
