Job summary

Baylor Scott & White Institute for Rehabilitation in Little Elm, TX is seeking a Patient Service Specialist (PSS). This entry-level, full-time role involves check-in/out, insurance verifications, scheduling, and various office duties in a fast-paced setting.

Starting salary is $19–$25 per hour, commensurate with experience. Benefits include health/dental/vision, PTO, 401(k) with match, and more, with schedule Tuesday through Saturday options as needed.

Qualifications

• HS diploma or GED required.
• Customer service experience preferred.
• Healthcare, medical office knowledge a plus.

Responsibilities

• Check in and check out patients and verify insurance.
• Schedule appointments and prepare reports; faxing and scanning.
• Register patient information in the electronic medical record with signatures.
• Verify patient insurance and obtain required authorizations before visits.
• Collect patient financial responsibility at visits and post charges.
• Maintain office supplies and handle mail.
• Adjust schedule as center needs and attend mandatory meetings.
• Travel to non-home center locations for coverage when necessary.
