Job summary

Pediatrix Medical Group is seeking a Patient Services Associate to ensure an excellent patient experience and efficient front-office workflows. You will greet patients, check them in, collect copays, schedule follow-ups, and support the care team.

You will verify insurance eligibility, update patient information for billing, obtain referrals as needed, and handle high‑volume calls while maintaining HIPAA compliance.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED or equivalent.
• 2-3 years of recent experience in a related medical office position preferred.
• Strong computer knowledge (Microsoft Office) preferred.
• Experience in coding, office billing, insurance and government payer regulations, and other third-party billing requirements (pertaining to services offered by the practice) preferred.
• Bilingual-Spanish/English strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Greet and register patients; verify demographic and insurance information.
• Schedule and coordinate appointments, confirm changes, and manage high-volume calls.
• Verify insurance eligibility and benefits; obtain pre-authorizations and referrals as required.
• Prepare daily clinic schedules and complete chart prep for upcoming appointments; support office operations.
• Provide compassionate customer service; ensure HIPAA compliance and maintain a clean, welcoming environment.
