Job summary

Pediatrix is seeking a Patient Services Associate in Mountain View to ensure an exceptional patient experience and efficient front-office workflow. You will greet patients, check them in and out, verify demographics and insurance, collect copays, and coordinate follow-up scheduling with the care team.

You will verify insurance eligibility, support billing processes, maintain accurate daily schedules, and handle high-volume calls while upholding HIPAA and privacy standards.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• 2-3 years recent experience in a medical office setting preferred.
• Strong computer knowledge (Microsoft Office) preferred.
• Experience in coding, office billing, insurance and government payer regulations, and other third-party billing requirements.

Responsibilities

• Greet patients and check-in/check-out; verify demographics and insurance information.
• Schedule follow-up appointments; provide visit summaries or referrals as needed.
• Verify insurance eligibility and benefits prior to appointments; obtain pre-authorizations and referrals as required.
• Prepare daily clinic schedules and complete chart prep for upcoming appointments; support office operations.
