Job summary

Pediatrix Medical Group is seeking a Patient Services Associate to ensure an excellent patient experience and efficient front-office workflows. You will greet patients, check-in/out, verify insurance, schedule appointments, and support billing and communications with the care team.

The role emphasizes accurate data collection, high-quality customer service, and adherence to HIPAA in a fast-paced clinical setting. Benefits are offered and patient care is a priority.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• 2-3 years recent experience in a medical office preferred.
• Strong computer knowledge with Microsoft Office preferred.
• Experience in coding, office billing, insurance and government payer regulations preferred.

Responsibilities

• Greet, check-in and verify patient demographics and insurance information.
• Collect copayments and outstanding balances.
• Schedule follow-up appointments and provide visit summaries or referrals.
• Schedule new and follow-up appointments including diagnostic testing per protocol.
• Manage high-volume calls with proper telephone etiquette.
• Coordinate communication between patients, providers and staff.
• Verify insurance eligibility and benefits prior to appointments.
• Obtain pre-authorizations and referrals as required.
• Maintain HIPAA confidentiality and a clean, welcoming environment.
• Prepare daily clinic schedules and complete chart prep for upcoming appointments.
