UW Medicine's Montlake campus is seeking a Patient Services Specialist Lead to support the Admitting Department on a 50% FTE schedule (20 hours/week), primarily Fridays and Saturdays 5:15 AM–3:45 PM, day shift.

You will train, guide, and audit Patient Services Specialists, supervise front desk operations, greet patients, collect demographics, verify insurance, and coordinate with departments to ensure smooth patient flow.

Qualifications

  • High school graduation or equivalent.
  • Three years of healthcare or administrative experience.
  • Equivalent education/experience may substitute for stated requirements.

Responsibilities

  • Collect and verify demographic and financial information; complete registration in Epic ADT.
  • Coordinate referrals, manage medical records, and schedule interpreter services.
  • Triage phone calls and ensure accurate patient identification and admission.
  • Perform front desk tasks: check-in, discharge, appointment scheduling, payment collection.
  • Float between departments and lead assigned duties.
