Job summary

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED is required.
• Associates degree in Business Administration/Management preferred.
• At least 2 years of registration, scheduling, patient accounts, cash collections or healthcare customer service experience.
• Knowledge of health insurances, medical terminology and anatomy.
• Strong data entry and keyboarding skills.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite.
• Bilingual skills.
• Valid driver’s license if off-site location travel may be required.

Responsibilities

• Provide pre-registrations, registrations, order management and charge capture for in-patient, out-patient, ER, urgent care and same-day surgery patients.
• Collect and verify demographic, insurance and clinical data from multiple sources; ensure medical necessity coding supports payment.
• Interact with patients and families to explain hospital revenue cycle processes and payment options.
