RWJBarnabas Health is seeking a Patient Services Representative for the Monmouth Heart & Vascular department in Eatontown, NJ. The role supports patient check-in/out, scheduling, and front-desk operations in a fast-paced clinical setting.

The ideal candidate will have a High School Diploma or GED, strong communication skills, and a customer-service orientation. Prior medical office experience and EMR knowledge are preferred; hours are Monday–Friday, 8am–4:30pm, with flexibility for practice

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required; relevant experience considered.
• Preferred qualifications include an Associate's or Bachelor's degree.
• Previous medical receptionist or general office experience is preferred.
• Knowledge of medical terminology and EMR systems is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Welcoming patients and performing check-in/check-out with professionalism and compassion.
• Reviewing schedules and preparing for patient visits; ensuring information is available.
• Scheduling appointments and coordinating follow-up visits as needed.
• Answering routine questions in person and by phone while delivering excellent service.
• Performing clerical duties: copying, scanning, faxing, sorting, and mail distribution.
• Creating, maintaining, and organizing patient health record information.
• Coordinating with insurance providers and handling pre-authorizations as needed.
• Protecting patient privacy and contributing to a safe, welcoming environment.
