American Vision Partners (AVP) is seeking a Patient Service Specialist to be the first point of contact for patients, ensuring an exceptional experience. You will gather vital information, check in/out, and coordinate appointments across ophthalmology practices.

The role emphasizes strong communication, multi-tasking in a high-volume setting, and providing compassionate service to patients and families.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• Detail oriented and reliable in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Medical Front Desk experience is preferred.
• Flexible schedule is a plus.
• Committed to delivering a quality patient experience.

Responsibilities

• Greet patients and visitors warmly in person or by phone.
• Check patients in and out for appointments.
• Schedule clinic and surgical appointments including pre- and post-operative visits.
• Review paperwork with patients and obtain consents.
• Verify insurance and collect payments.
• Maintain patient medical records.

As our highly visible Patient Service Specialist, you'll be patient's first touch and are responsible for gathering important information for their visit and providing an exceptional patient experience.
