Job summary

Mercy Health's Defiance Clinic seeks a Patient Services Representative to support four providers in the IM department and related clinics. You will handle patient registration, verification of demographics, insurance cards, scheduling, and financial discussions with patients.

The role requires strong customer service, attention to detail, and the ability to work across multiple locations as needed. Prior healthcare registration experience is preferred and benefits accompany employment.

Qualifications

• Registration and demographic verification.
• Scheduling appointments and entering patient information.
• Explain financial options and collect payments.
• Experience in healthcare registration is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Serve as primary contact between patients and practices.
• Greet patients politely and provide excellent customer service.
• Schedule and schedule changes; input information accurately.
• Verify insurance and collect patient liabilities as needed.
• Assist with referrals and referrals tracking when required.
• Maintain accurate patient records and assist with in-office processes.
