Job summary
A leading radiology practice in Trumbull, Connecticut is seeking a Patient Services Specialist to provide excellent service to our patients and support the technologists and physicians. This role involves greeting patients, handling admissions, managing patient inquiries, and ensuring seamless communication with referring doctors. The ideal candidate will possess strong multitasking abilities, basic medical knowledge, and have a high school diploma or GED. Qualifications
Minimum 1-2 years’ related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Responsibilities
Greet patients and visitors warmly and with commitment to exceptional service.
Communicate with referring physicians and patients by telephone to provide information and schedule appointments.
Complete patient admission process accurately.
Provide and explain exam preps to patients and resolve questions.
Receive and record patient copays as required.
Assist technologists and other staff as requested.
Ensure incoming faxes are delivered and acted on immediately.
Maintain records of all outside reads.
Skills
Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
Strong typing skills
Basic knowledge of anatomy and medical terminology
Ability to assist patients on and off exam tables
Education
High school diploma or GED
Graduate of Medical Office Assistant Program
