Job summary

Avera St. Luke's is seeking a Reception/Registration Associate for the Aberdeen Addiction Care Center.

You will check in patients, verify demographics and insurance, collect payments, and help patients access clinic services. Responsibilities include insurance verification, obtaining authorizations, signing consents, scanning records, handling calls, and coordinating with clinical staff to streamline patient flow.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required; 1–3 months related experience or training accepted.
• Equivalent combination of education and experience considered.
• Ability to communicate effectively with patients and team members.

Responsibilities

• Welcomes patients, checks them in, and completes registration including demographics, insurance and payments.
• Verifies insurance, obtains authorizations, and handles consent/waiver forms as needed.
• Scans pertinent information into the patient record and manages scheduling.
• Answers calls, messages and faxes and routes to appropriate departments.
• Expedites care by coordinating nurse, physician, and patient time; directs patients to services.
