Job summary

Baylor Scott & White Health is seeking a Patient Services Specialist 1 to provide administrative support in a physician office, clinic, or similar setting. You will assist patients with check-in/check-out, scheduling, insurance verification and phone duties to ensure high-quality, patient-centered care.

Responsibilities include registration data entry, payment processing, and responding to routine inquiries about services and hours.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Less than 1 year of experience in a clinical/administrative setting preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist patients with check-in and check-out processes.
• Schedule appointments and follow-up visits.
• Verify patient insurance information and demographics in the system.
• Answer phones and provide information to patients and visitors.
• Post payments and enter charges according to guidelines.
• Maintain accurate patient records and notes as needed.
