UP Health System - Portage in Michigan is seeking a Patient Services Representative to join our team. You will greet patients, handle check-in/out, scheduling, and manage phones and messages while supporting referrals and pre-certifications.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent required.
• 2+ years Medical Office experience preferred.
• BLS certification from the American Heart Association or American Red Cross required.
• Ability to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action.

Responsibilities

• Facilitates the patient referral process and obtains pre-certifications as requested by the provider.
• Greets patients; check-in, check-out, scheduling and manages telephones and messages.
• Collects and posts co-pays, deductibles and past due balances at the time of service.
