Tryon Medical Partners is seeking a Patient Service Specialist to support our Pineville office. This full-time role handles patient intake, scheduling, registration, and payments, while greeting patients and guiding them through the portal.

The ideal candidate has a high school diploma (some college preferred) and at least one year in a medical office, with EHR and AthenaNet experience to ensure smooth front-d desk operations and patient education.

Qualifications

• High school diploma; some college preferred.
• Minimum of one year medical office or healthcare facility experience.
• Experience serving customers in person and on the phone.
• EHR and Scheduling experience.

Responsibilities

• Schedule appointments in athenaNet.
• Prepare new patient charts and paperwork at presentation.
• Greet patients and visitors professionally and communicate during visits.
• Accurately perform registration process and ensure completeness.
• Educate patients on the Patient Portal and collect payments at check-in/out.
• Process co-pays, deductibles, and payment plans per policy.
• Handle day-end reconciliation and balance of batches daily.
• Manage phone calls and follow-up appointments as assigned.
