Job summary

Tryon Medical Partners is seeking a Patient Service Specialist for our SouthPark office in Charlotte, NC. This full-time role supports patient intake, scheduling, and front-desk activities to ensure smooth visits.

You will greet patients, register them, collect payments, verify insurance, educate patients on the portal, and coordinate with clinical staff. Prior medical office experience and proficiency with EHR systems are preferred.

Qualifications

• Minimum of one-year medical office or healthcare facility experience.
• E.H.R. and Scheduling experience.
• Experience serving customers in person and on the phone.

Responsibilities

• Schedule appointments in athenaNet.
• Prepare new patient charts and/or paperwork at patient presentation.
• Greet patients and visitors in a professional and welcoming manner.
• Accurately perform registration process.
• Collect co-payments, outstanding balances, pre-payments, and payment plans at Check-In.
• Create Credit Card on File Contracts at Check-In.
• Collect deductible, co-insurance, and payment for services not covered by insurance at Check-Out.
• Answer inbound and outbound calls and direct callers as needed.
• Schedule follow-up appointments.
• Verify eligibility and benefits for all patients daily.
