Job summary

Intermountain Health Logan Regional Hospital is seeking a Patient Service Representative (PSR) to be the first contact with patients, delivering exceptional customer/patient service within the Neuro Rehabilitation Clinic. The role includes greeting, checking in/out patients, verifying information, and resolving intake-related needs.

The position is full-time, 40 hours per week, with clinic hours Mon–Fri 7a–6p, located at Logan Regional Hospital.

Qualifications

Six months of customer service experience.
Basic computer skills including word processing and data entry.
Professional demeanor and strong interpersonal and communication skills.
Ability to protect privacy and PHI of patients and caregivers.

Responsibilities

Provides courteous connections with patients over the phone or in person to resolve needs related to intake and care.
Documents all calls accurately in the EMR.
Schedules patient appointments for visits, tests, referrals, or consultations.
Registers patients by confirming and updating demographic data in the registration system.
Obtains copies of insurance cards and IDs; may verify insurance details and COB.
Assists patients with forms and educates about financial assistance; collects payments as needed.
Keeps current on role responsibilities via emails, dashboards and meetings to ensure high performance.
