Wheeler Clinic is seeking a Patient Service Representative in Hartford, CT to register new patients, collect detailed insurance information, and input data into the EHR. You will support multiple centers, schedule appointments, handle calls, and backfill appointments as needed.

The role requires a high school diploma and at least one year of relevant experience, with proficiency in Microsoft Office and a valid driver’s license. Full-time hours Mon-Fri, 9am-5pm or 10am-6pm.

Qualifications

• High School diploma required.
• One year of progressively responsible work experience.
• Experience with Microsoft Office and general software.
• Valid Driver's License required.

Responsabilités

• Greet and provide exceptional customer service to patients/clients, visitors, and callers.
• Oversee the reception area to ensure a safe, efficient, and comfortable environment.
• Collect, verify, update and document consents, screenings, demographics and insurance information before services.
• Verify insurance coverage at time of check-in via Phreesia eligibility swipes or calls.
• Collect copays and balances at check-in and forward deposits to billing.
• Review provider schedules daily and backfill no-show/cancelled slots to maintain access.
• Manage walk-in appointments and scheduling across Medical, Dental, Behavioral Health, and Psychiatry.
• Produce and deliver timely documents to patients, referral sources and physicians.
