Job summary

Amedisys Home Health in Myrtle Beach, SC seeks a Patient Services Coordinator to schedule and coordinate patient visits, ensuring Oasis visits are completed timely and clinicians are assigned efficiently across geographies.

You will handle calls from patients and field staff, refer issues to the clinical manager, monitor hospitalized patients, and support timely communication with patients, clinicians, referral sources and others, while contributing to smooth care center operations.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• One year of scheduling experience in a healthcare environment preferred.
• One year of administrative experience in healthcare preferred.

Responsibilities

• Ensures patient assessment visits including Oasis visits are scheduled and performed timely.
• Ensures clinicians are assigned and scheduled in the most efficient geography, maximizing clinician efficiency.
• Works with field clinicians to ensure all patient visits are scheduled and completed as ordered.
• Manages calls from patients and field staff related to scheduling issues.
• Refers clinical and performance issues to the clinical manager.
• Monitors hospitalized patients and ensures follow-up by the team.
• Supports clinical manager and maintains timely communication with patients and clinicians.
• Runs applicable reports and responds to workflow with appropriate actions.
• Assists with transfer of patients between care centers and/or hospice services.
• Maintains supply closet and liaises with field for supplies needs.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
