Qualifications

• Education: High school diploma or equivalent; Medical Administrative Assistant certificate a plus.
• Experience: 1+ year as Medical Receptionist/Patient Services Representative in medical office or healthcare setting.
• Skills: Strong communication, attention to detail, multitasking in busy environment.
• Technical: Experience using EMR software, EPIC preferred.
• Flexibility: Able to work 12-hour shifts (7 AM–7 PM), rotating weekends and holidays.
• Team player: Proactive, friendly, patient-focused service.
• Physical: Sit/stand/walk/use hands throughout the day; capable of lifting 20–40 pounds occasionally.
• Vision: Close and distance vision, focus adjustment.

Responsibilities

• Warm Welcome: Greet patients and visitors with a positive attitude.
• Patient and Business Documentation: Manage confidential documents.
• Insurance Verification: Verify eligibility and provide payment policies.
• Financial Responsibility: Collect patient payments and explain costs.
• Collaborative Support: Assist practice manager, providers, and staff.
• Compliance: Adhere to HIPAA and OSHA requirements.
• Travel Requirement: Support staffing at other Piedmont Urgent Care locations as needed.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
