Job summary

Eye Health America and the Carolinas Centers for Sight in Florence, SC are seeking a full-time Patient Services Representative at our Surgery Center. You will greet patients, check them in, collect payments, and help ensure a smooth flow of appointments and registrations.

Qualifications

• Must have an active and valid Driver's License.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Prefer at least one year's experience in eye care, or the medical environment.

Responsibilities

• Check patients in for appointments with a pleasant, professional greeting.
• Record arrival times and ensure patients are seen on time.
• Scan insurance cards and driver's licenses.
• Enter new patient demographic information into the computer.
• Ensure proper authorization or referral is collected.
• Present and collect fees, post payments, and schedule next appointments.
• Monitor accounts past due and collect payments at checkout.
• Maintain cash drawer and balance daily with payments and card processing.
• Verify chart data completeness and obtain signatures.

We are seeking a full-time Patient Services Representative for our Surgery Center in Florence, SC. All skill levels are welcome to apply.

Job Responsibilities

• Checks patients in for appointments, greeting everyone in a pleasant and professional manner.
• Marks the arrival time of patients in the office and makes sure that patients are seen on time.
• Scans patients’ insurance cards and driver's licenses.
• Enters all new patient demographic information into the computer.
• Ensures that proper authorization or referral is collected from the patient.
• Presents and collects fees, posts payments, and schedules the patient’s next appointment.
• Monitors accounts that are past due and collects payment at checkout.
• Maintains own cash drawer and is responsible for balancing daily with payments posted and credit cards processed.
• Evaluates chart data to verify all information has been received, completed, and signatures obtained.
