Job summary

Clemson Eye, an affiliate of Eye Health America, is seeking a full-time Patient Services Representative in Greenville, SC. The role involves check-in, billing, data entry, and ensuring accurate patient information and referrals.

Overtime may be required; benefits include health coverage, retirement plan, and opportunities for training and advancement within a growing ophthalmology practice.

Qualifications

• Active and valid Driver's License is required.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Prefer at least one year of experience in eye care or medical environment.

Responsibilities

• Checks patients in for appointments, greeting everyone in a pleasant and professional manner.
• Marks the arrival time of patients and ensures timely service.
• Scans patients’ insurance cards and driver’s licenses.
• Enters all new patient demographic information into the computer.
• Ensures proper authorization or referral is collected from the patient.
• Presents and collects fees, posts payments, and schedules the next appointment.
• Monitors accounts that are past due and collects payment at checkout.
• Maintains own cash drawer and balances daily with payments posted and credit cards processed.

We are seeking a full-time Patient Services Representative for our office in Greenville, SC. All skill levels are welcome to apply. *Overtime may be required.

Job Responsibilities:

• Checks patients in for appointments, greeting everyone in a pleasant and professional manner.
• Marks the arrival time of patients in the office and makes sure that patients are seen on time.
• Scans patients’ insurance cards and driver's licenses.
• Enters all new patient demographic information into the computer.
• Ensures that proper authorization or referral is collected from the patient.
• Presents and collects fees, posts payments, and schedules the patient’s next appointment.
• Monitors accounts that are past due and collects payment at checkout.
• Maintains own cash drawer and is responsible for balancing daily with payments posted and credit cards processed.
• Evaluates chart data to verify all information has been received, completed, and signatures obtained.
