Job summary

Reno Orthopedic Center in Reno, NV is looking for a Patient Services Representative to be the friendly first and last contact for patients. You will check in, collect accurate information, verify identifiers and insurance, and help direct patients to the right resources.

This role emphasizes empathy, attention to detail, and teamwork. You will enter data into the electronic medical record, handle billing information, balance cash at day end, and support a smooth clinic flow.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma is required.
• One year of reception experience is preferred.
• Ability to enter data accurately and assist with billing tasks.

Responsibilities

• Check-in/check-out patients and schedule follow-ups.
• Enter patient demographics and insurance information in the EMR.
• Scan IDs and insurance cards and verify insurances.
• Collect co-pays and ensure billing information is up to date.
• Balance cash drawers at end of day.
• Maintain calm and efficient patient flow through clinics.

Summary

You will be the first and last employee our patients would interact with during their time at ROC. You can make patients feel less nervous or scared or make a patient's day by giving them a warm welcome. Your attention to detail will allow for the correct information be provided to the clinical team and ensure the correct billing is taken care of for the patient. You are essential to facilitating a great patient experience.

Minimum/Preferred Requirements

Certifications / Education

• High School Diploma

Knowledge Of

• Customer service principles and practices

Experience

• Using computer systems and applications, including entering data and typing
• Preferred Qualifications - How can you set yourself apart from other applicants?

One year of experience performing reception duties.
