Job summary

Reno Orthopedic Center in Reno, NV is seeking an Occupational Therapy Aide to support patient care by preparing treatment areas and equipment, greeting patients, and assisting therapists with non-treatment tasks while following universal precautions.

You will help ensure patient safety, maintain supplies, and document activities in the electronic medical record, with a focus on teamwork and compassionate care. This is a full-time role with benefits in a respected orthopedic team.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Experience providing customer service is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare treatment areas and equipment before and after patient appointments, including cleaning and maintaining safety.
  • Greet patients and direct them to the appropriate treatment area.
  • Assist therapist with the non-treatment aspects of therapy services following universal precautions.
  • Demonstrate proper use of equipment and exercise routines.
  • Ensure patient safety at all times and communicate any risk factors to the therapist.
  • Document activities, exercises, and outcomes in the patient’s electronic medical record.
  • Maintain adequate clinic supplies and linens.

We are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated team member to play a key role in supporting patient care by preparing both the patient and treatment area for therapy sessions, while assisting the therapist in delivering safe and effective care at our Main 555 N Arlington Ave location.

What will you do in this role?

  • Document activities, exercises, and outcomes as directed by the therapist in patient’s electronic medical record.
  • Maintain adequate levels of clinic supplies and linens.
Requirements
Certifications/Education:
  • High School Diploma/GED;
Experience:
  • Providing customer service.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience working in an outpatient orthopedic setting.
