Job summary

Reno Orthopedic Center is seeking an Occupational Therapy Aide to support therapy sessions at our Main location in Reno, NV. You will prepare treatment areas, assist therapists, and ensure patient safety while delivering compassionate care.

You will greet patients, help with equipment, and maintain records and supplies. This role emphasizes teamwork, reliability, and a patient-first mindset within a growing orthopedic practice.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• Prior customer service experience is preferred.
• Experience in healthcare settings is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Prepare treatment areas and equipment before and after patient appointments.
• Greet patients and direct them to the appropriate treatment area.
• Assist therapist with non-treatment aspects of therapy following universal precautions.
• Demonstrate proper use of equipment and exercise routines.
• Document activities and patient outcomes in the electronic medical record.
• Maintain clinic supplies and linens.

We are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated team member to play a key role in supporting patient care by preparing both the patient and treatment area for therapy sessions, while assisting the therapist in delivering safe and effective care at our Main 555 N Arlington Ave location.

What will you do in this role?

• Prepare treatment areas and equipment before and after patient appointments, including cleaning and maintaining safety;
• Greet patient and direct them to the appropriate treatment area.
• Assist therapist with the non-treatment aspects of therapy services following universal precautions.
• Demonstrate proper use of equipment and exercise routines.
• Ensure patient safety at all times, noting any risk factors and communicating with the therapist regarding patient issues or concerns.
• Document activities, exercises, and outcomes as directed by the therapist in patient’s electronic medical record.
• Maintain adequate levels of clinic supplies and linens.

Certifications/Education:

• High School Diploma/GED;

Experience:

• Providing customer service.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience working in an outpatient orthopedic setting.
