Job summary

OrthoArizona in Chandler, AZ is seeking a Medical Receptionist to join our team. This full-time role supports patient experiences at every touchpoint, answering calls, guiding scheduling, and ensuring accurate processing of patient records.

Starting pay is $17 per hour, with opportunities for growth in a supportive, technology-driven environment. You’ll work with a collaborative team to deliver compassionate musculoskeletal care to the Greater Phoenix community.

Qualifications

• Minimum Qualifications: High School diploma or GED.
• Preferred Experience: at least one year of medical office experience; ModMed EMR experience preferred; bilingual a plus.
• Strong communication and organizational skills; knowledge of medical terminology.

Responsibilities

• Answers phone in prompt, courteous and helpful manner, screens and routes calls, creates phone notes in the EMR.
• Assist in indexing patient documents to the correct patient chart.
• Assist in routing electronic faxes to the correct location or upload to the patient chart.
• Assist with other duties as needed during down time.
• All other duties as assigned.

• As a Medical Receptionist with OrthoArizona, you’ll get to:
• Answers phone in prompt, courteous and helpful manner, screening, and routing calls as needed, creates phone note in the patient electronic medical record, and/or providing information to patients
• Assist in indexing patient documents to the correct patient chart
• Assist in routing electronic faxes to the correct location fax folder and or uploading to the correct patient chart
• Assist with other duties as needed during down time
• All other duties as assigned.

• Excellent customer / patient service
• Knowledge of medical terminology
• Working knowledge of computer programs
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Understand/Perform training on practice management software
• Continue to expand knowledge of practice management software as updates occurFollow all Standard Operating Procedures
• Minimum Qualifications
• High School diploma or GED

Preferred Experience

• At least one year of medical office experience
• 1+ year using an EMR with ModMed experience preferred
• Strong technical aptitude and attention to detail
• Bilingual a plus
• Basic phone handling skills - Contact Center experience
• Basic knowledge of insurance plans and the specialty referral process
