Job summary

OrthoArizona is seeking a Medical Receptionist to support patient interactions at our Gilbert, AZ location. The role covers phone screening, document handling, and front-desk duties in a fast-paced orthopedic care setting.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Answer phones promptly and courteously; route calls and document notes in the EMR.
• Index patient documents to correct charts.
• Route electronic faxes; upload to patient charts as needed.
• Perform other duties as assigned during downtime.

• As a Medical Receptionist with OrthoArizona, you’ll get to:
• Answers phone in prompt, courteous and helpful manner, screening, and routing calls as needed, creates phone note in the patient electronic medical record, and/or providing information to patients
• Assist in indexing patient documents to the correct patient chart
• Assist in routing electronic faxes to the correct location fax folder and or uploading to the correct patient chart
• Assist with other duties as needed during down timeAll other duties as assigned.

Qualifications Include:

• Excellent customer / patient service
• Knowledge of medical terminology
• Working knowledge of computer programs
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Understand/Perform training on practice management software
• Continue to expand knowledge of practice management software as updates occur
• Follow all Standard Operating Procedures
• Minimum Qualifications
• High School diploma or GED

Preferred Experience:

• At least one year of medical office experience
• 1+ year using an EMR with ModMed experience preferred
• Strong technical aptitude and attention to detail
• Bilingual a plus
• Basic phone handling skills - Contact Center experience
• Basic knowledge of insurance plans and the specialty referral process
