Job summary

OrthoArizona in Peoria, AZ is hiring Medical Assistants for our growing orthopedic team. You will prepare patients, take vitals, document in EMR, assist in exam rooms and procedures, and support physicians and nurses throughout patient care.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Graduation from an accredited Medical Assistant program.
  • Current CPR certification.
  • At least one year of experience in a medical office.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare patients for examination and treatment, including taking vitals and recording patient history.
  • Input and maintain appropriate EMR documentation.
  • Prepare examination rooms, ensuring they are clean, well-organized, and equipped with necessary supplies.
  • Assist in the procedure room with procedures, receive IV training and certification and start IVs.
  • Support physicians and nurses during patient examinations and treatments.
  • Assist with administrative tasks, such as scheduling appointments, maintaining patient records, and monitoring voicemail and phone calls.

Education

High school diploma or GED
Graduation from an accredited Medical Assistant program
CPR certification

Salary: $20.00 - $28.00 per hour
