Job summary

OrthoAtlanta, Augusta, GA, is seeking a Patient Services Representative to greet patients, manage check-in/out, and handle questions about appointments and billing. You will collect co-pays and schedule visits in a fast-paced, on-site medical office.

The role requires a high school diploma and experience in a medical setting, with strong customer service skills and attention to detail. Epic EMR familiarity is a plus, and you will work closely with a collaborative team to support patient care.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• 2+ years in a medical office or clinical setting preferred.
• Familiarity with medical terminology and EMR systems (Epic a plus).
• Strong customer service and a patient-focused demeanor.
• Excellent organizational, multitasking, and time-management abilities.
• Strong verbal and written communication; discretion with patient information.

Responsibilities

• Greet patients, check them in and out, and help with questions about appointments, insurance, or procedures.
• Collect co-pays, prepayments, and outstanding balances accurately while explaining financial policies as needed.
• Schedule new and follow-up appointments, answer incoming calls, and ensure timely patient communication and follow-through.
• Input and update patient demographics, insurance information, and visit details into the EMR system.
• Open and close the front office, keep the waiting area clean and organized, and support clinic flow.

What You’ll Do

As a Patient Services Representative at OrthoAtlanta, you’ll:

• Greet patients warmly, check them in and out, and help with questions about appointments, insurance, or procedures
• Collect co-pays, prepayments, and outstanding balances accurately while explaining financial policies as needed
• Schedule new and follow-up appointments, answer incoming calls, and ensure timely patient communication and follow-through
• Input and update patient demographics, insurance information, and visit details into the EMR system
• Open and close the front office, keep the waiting area clean and organized, and work assigned EMR “buckets” to support clinic flow
