Job summary

PathGroup is seeking a Patient Services Technician to support the PSC and in-office operations in Carrollton, GA. You will perform phlebotomy, specimen collection, processing, and data entry with attention to accuracy and patient comfort.

You will interact with clients, patients, and PathGroup personnel, adhering to safety, privacy, and compliance guidelines while maintaining neat environments and timely duties.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED preferred (may be required by state).
• Phlebotomist Certification preferred; required in Louisiana.

Responsibilities

• Greets customers and treats them courteously.
• Ensures all field phlebotomy and PSC specimens are collected accurately and on time.
• Collects specimens and explains venipuncture process calmly to patients.
• Disposes of biohazard fluids and contaminated sharps per laws and policies.
• Completes requisitions in PathConnect and enters patient and billing information.
• Matches requisitions to specimens and processes accordingly; labels, centrifuges, and freezes as required.
• Packages specimens for transport and maintains proper storage temperatures.
• Maintains records, logs, and monthly statistics; performs basic clerical tasks and electronic data entry.
