Job summary

Morrison Healthcare, a Compass Group company, is hiring a full-time Patient Services Lead at MUSC Charleston to coordinate patient meal service and training for Patient Dining Associates. You ensure staffing levels, accuracy of meal orders, and a culture of comfort and compassion for patients in the healthcare setting.

In this role you’ll work with the caregivers and culinary team to tailor menu options for allergies and cultural needs, while upholding HIPAA and safety standards.

Qualifications

• Ability to communicate and read documents such as safety rules, procedure manuals, and operation and maintenance instructions.
• Aptitude for effectively operating hospital's ADT system and other computer-based systems that manage patient care records.
• The associate must occasionally lift and/or move up to 100 pounds, as well as maneuver and push food delivery carts.

Responsibilities

• Oversees systems and processes to ensure the objectives of the Patient Dining Program are accomplished.
• Supervise Patient Dining Associates and ensure they provide services including helping patients make menu selections and delivering meals.
• Work with caregivers and culinary team to determine menu alternatives for patients with dietary needs and preferences.
• Interact with nursing and evaluate daily patient meal selection, tray completion, delivery, and retrieval.
• Communicate problems or concerns with patients to appropriate personnel in a timely manner and follow procedures.
