Job summary

Quipt Home Medical is seeking a Customer Service Representative to be the direct point of contact for patients, caregivers, referral sources, or commercial accounts. You will provide information, process orders, verify insurance, and resolve inquiries and complaints in a timely, courteous manner.

The role involves answering phones, greeting visitors, handling paperwork, and coordinating deliveries under supervision of the Branch Manager/CSR Director.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
• Previous experience in a clerical or customer service environment is preferred.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel) and general office software is required.
• Proficient general office skills including typing, filing, and multi-line phone handling.
• Neat personal appearance with professional demeanor and strong interpersonal skills.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to make independent decisions.
• Medicare/Medicaid and insurance billing or medical office experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Answering the telephone with a professional greeting and taking complete, accurate messages; transfer to appropriate person or voicemail.
• Greet visitors and direct them to the appropriate personnel.
• Verify insurance eligibility and required third‑party authorizations as needed.
• Enter orders and changes into the computer system accurately and timely; process paperwork.
• Explain patient financial responsibilities and obtain necessary signatures.
• Handle customer inquiries regarding shipments, deliveries, and complaints with courtesy and follow‑up.
• Maintain and file all patient charts and delivery/pickup documentation.
• Assist in billing, posting, denials, inquiries, and related paperwork as required.
