Job summary

HealthPoint is seeking a Float Patient Services Representative I for temporary coverage (October–December 2026). You will perform all front office duties across HealthPoint locations, including phone work, patient registration, data entry, and payment collection, while delivering exceptional customer service.

Responsibilities include registering patients, checking in/out, verifying insurance, and guiding patients on HealthPoint services.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent. Customer Service or Healthcare experience preferred.
• Ability to read and comprehend instructions and write basic correspondence such as memos. No presentation skills are necessary.
• Work situations are routine and regularly recurring and require attention and concentration; basic problem solving may be required.

Responsibilities

• Greet all clinic patients, families and visitors.
• Check-in patients including demographics and insurance verification.
• Verify insurance information and perform real-time eligibility checks.
• Collect copays and past due balances.
• Educate patients on HealthPoint services and assist with navigation.
• Explain medical and dental insurance basics (copay, coinsurance, deductibles).
• Coordinate check-out including scheduling follow-up appointments and providing documents.
• Maintain schedule accuracy and assist with multi-location coverage as needed.
