Qualifications

• Education: High School Diploma or GED preferred.

Responsibilities

• Ensures staff is trained and competent before assignment to a position.
• Keeps documentation of employee's performance for evaluation and counseling.
• Enforces disciplinary actions and provides accurate and complete documentation.
• Monitors job takes and offers suggestions to improve efficiency.
• Works with employees to increase productivity.
• Keeps track of employees' attendance and punctuality.
• Follows up on any problems related to security, safety and/or sanitation.
• Schedules employees based on census, minimizes overtime, and informs subordinates when adjustments are made to posted schedules.
• Starts the patient trayline on time.
• Quality of food is checked for taste, temperature and portion size.
• Ensures cleaning procedures are followed.
• Enforces proper dress code and proper use of gloves, aprons, and hair restraints.
• Enforces appropriate food handling procedures to ensure food safety.
• Monitors accuracy of patient trays and floor stock delivery.
• Monitors refrigerators/freezers for proper food storage (wrapping, labeling, dating).
• Reports safety hazards and defective equipment immediately.
• Maintains accurate and a complete documentation of temperature logs, floor stock supply, and other reports.
