Job summary

CLS Health PLLC in Houston, TX is seeking a Patient Service Representative I to join our front desk team. You will be the first point of contact, delivering friendly service and guiding patients through check-in and financial processes.

Responsibilities include greeting patients, verifying insurance and personal information, collecting co-pays, ensuring referrals are ready, and keeping records accurate. Proficiency with Microsoft Office and attention to detail are essential.

Qualifications

• Experience in a medical office or customer service environment is preferred.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are required.
• Ability to multitask and prioritize effectively.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy are essential.
• Knowledge of medical terminology and insurance billing preferred.

Responsibilities

• Greet patients and visitors in a friendly and welcoming manner.
• Verify patient information, including insurance coverage and personal information.
• Collect co-pays and other fees from patients at the time of service.
• Ensure the referrals are in the patient's chart before the patient comes in.
• Maintain patient records and ensure that they are accurate and up to date.
• Count cash box and complete cash reconciliation forms; sign off on EBO report and cash reconciliation.
• Handle patient complaints and resolve issues in a professional manner.
• Perform other administrative tasks as needed.
