Job summary

CLS Health in Houston, TX is seeking a Patient Service Representative I to be the first point of contact for patients, providing excellent service and coordinating financial responsibilities for a positive visit experience.

You will greet patients, verify insurance, collect co-pays, maintain accurate records, and support referrals and administrative tasks in a fast-paced medical office. Prior healthcare front-desk experience preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Experience in a medical office or customer service environment preferred.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to multitask and prioritize effectively.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and other computer applications.
• Knowledge of medical terminology and insurance billing preferred.

Responsibilities

• Greet patients and visitors in a friendly and welcoming manner
• Verify patient information, including insurance coverage and personal information
• Collect co-pays and other fees from patients at the time of service
• Ensure the referrals are in the patient's chart before the patient comes in
• Maintain patient records and ensure that they are accurate and up to date
• Count cash box and complete cash reconciliation forms. Once close is completed, sign off on EBO report and cash reconciliation
• Handle patient complaints and resolve issues in a professional manner
• Perform other administrative tasks as needed
