Job summary

Baystate Health's Patient Service Representatives support front-desk operations at our Palmer, MA location. You will greet patients, check in and check out, collect copays, and verify insurance details to ensure smooth visits.

You will also handle incoming calls, route requests, and assist with medical document faxing, while maintaining HIPAA compliance and delivering friendly, efficient service in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• At least 6 months in a medical office setting preferred.
• Great interpersonal skills and ability to work in a fast-paced environment are a must.
• Familiarity with medical terminology, office software, scheduling and billing processes.

Responsibilities

• Greet patients and handle check-in/check-out.
• Request copays and verify insurances.
• Answer telephones and fax medical documents.
• Maintain patient records and assist with scheduling tasks.
