Overview

The US Oncology Network is looking for a Patient Services Coordinator to join our team at Texas Oncology. This full-time position will support our South Austin clinic at 4101 James Casey.

This position can be either Level 1, 2, or Sr based on relevant work experience.

It is the largest community oncology provider in the country, with approximately 530 providers across 280+ sites in Texas. What does the Patient Services Coordinator do? (including but not limited to)

  • Greet and welcome patients and their families professionally.
  • Register and schedule patient appointments efficiently.
  • Answer, screen, and direct incoming calls, relay messages accurately.
  • Support adherence to US Oncology Compliance Program, including ethics and business standards.

Responsibilities

  • Check in patients, inform clinical staff of arrivals, and provide necessary paperwork.
  • Collect and verify patient forms, update demographics and insurance info, and handle co-pays.
  • Respond to routine questions, route messages, and communicate with staff.
  • Manage patient checkout, schedule follow-up appointments, and provide appointment details.
  • Record cancellations, reschedule appointments, and update patient charts.
  • Perform general administrative tasks, maintain a neat lobby, and ensure supplies are stocked.
  • Maintain confidentiality and comply with HIPAA and related laws.
  • Perform other duties as assigned, including typing memos and forms.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate will have:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Some receptionist or office experience preferred.
  • Proficiency with computers and Microsoft Office Suite.

Level 2 and Sr requirements include more extensive experience with medical office reception and insurance forms.
