Qualifications

• High School or GED equivalent, or 1-3 months related experience.

Responsibilities

• Welcomes patients, checking them in and completing registration.
• Verifies demographics, insurance and collects service payments.
• Verifies insurance authorizations and obtains consent/waivers as appropriate.
• Scans all pertinent information into the patient’s record.
• Answers calls, messages and faxes, routing to appropriate departments.
• Maintains computer appointment scheduling and follows office policies.
• Coordinates nurse, physician and patient time to expedite care.
• Directs patients to ancillary services as needed.
