Job summary

Avera Granite Falls Hospital is seeking a Registration Clerk to support patient access across clinic reception areas. You will check in patients, verify demographics and insurance, collect service payments, and ensure accurate data entry into the electronic record.

The role requires strong communication, attention to detail, and the ability to coordinate with nurses, physicians, and other staff to expedite patient care.

Qualifications

• High School or GED required or 1–3 months related experience.
• Ability to communicate effectively and maintain confidentiality.

Responsibilities

• Welcomes patients, checks them in and completes registration, including demographics, insurance, and service payments.
• Verifies insurance, obtains authorizations and signatures on consent/waivers as appropriate.
• Scans pertinent information into the patient record.
• Answers calls, messages, and faxes, routing as needed.
• Maintains computer appointment scheduling and follows policies.
