Job summary

Neurology Center is seeking a detail-oriented receptionist to provide full-service support to patients and staff. You will manage appointment scheduling, phone inquiries, prescription refills, and patient registration while upholding HIPAA and internal policies.

The role requires some college, basic computer skills, and experience in medical terminology or a call center. Strong customer service and teamwork are essential.

Qualifications

• Some college preferred.
• Must be computer literate.
• Excellent customer service skills.
• Experience with medical terminology.
• At least one year of experience in a call center.
• Knowledge of computer systems and applications including electronic medical records.

Responsibilities

• Manage scheduling, cancelling and rescheduling of appointments for patients.
• Answer telephones in a pleasant and helpful manner.
• Take prescription refill requests.
• Acquire and document all patient demographic information accurately.
• Follow protocol for complete patient registration process including verification of insurance coverage.
• Apply billing and collecting practices including securing payment plans.
• Review and disseminate incoming documents.
• Initiate and complete patient portal registration.
• Provide assistance to fellow team members.
• Compliant with HIPAA, NCPA’s Compliance Plan and Code of Conduct policies.
