Qualifications

• HoS diploma or GED required; Associate degree preferred but not required.
• Experience: minimum of one year in customer service, healthcare setting preferred.
• Knowledge of medical billing/collection practices and basic medical coding is helpful.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills; ability to work in a team.

Responsibilities

• Greet and assist patients and guests in a friendly, courteous manner.
• Register new patients and verify demographic information.
• Handle patient inquiries via in-person, phone, or electronic channels; route to appropriate staff when needed.
• Resolve balances through payment plans or full payment per policy; communicate with patients about balances.
• Record clear notes on patient accounts and manage mail and daily correspondence.
• Stay updated on insurance publications and coding guidelines relevant to networks.
• Process aging reports and participate in routine duties as assigned.
