Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED; associate degree preferred.
• Minimum of one year in a customer service role.
• Familiar with medical office practices; background in medical billing preferred.
• Knowledge of medical billing/collection practices and insurance procedures.

Responsibilities

• Assist patients or their representatives with questions about charges, payments, and insurance.
• Resolve balances in accordance with JCMG policies.
• Collaborate with clinic staff and physicians on delinquent balances.
• Document activities in patient accounts using eClinicalWorks and HST.
• Recommend outstanding balances for collection when appropriate.
• Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor.
