Job summary

Responsibilities

• Handle intake of authorization requests via fax, phone, email and provider portal.
• Build authorization shells in JIVA and route authorizations for nurse review.
• Coordinate activities for practices, including insurance verification and pre-certification.
• Answer provider calls and assist with questions related to the authorization process.
• Outreach to providers to obtain clinical information needed for medical necessity review.
• Assist in scheduling peer-to-peer calls as requested.
