Job summary

Sentara Health Plans is seeking a Patient Services Coordinator for Pre-Authorization remote in VA. The role is full-time with standard hours and rotating weekend coverage, supporting pre-authorization processes remotely from Virginia.

Responsibilities include coordinating referrals, obtaining pre-authorization approvals, and assisting members. Requires high school diploma and healthcare experience; call center experience preferred.

Qualifications

• HS - High School Grad or Equivalent REQUIRED
• Experience in Healthcare REQUIRED
• Pre-authorization and health plan experience preferred
• Call center experience preferred

Responsibilities

• Coordinate linkage between members, primary care providers, specialty providers and other insurers for pre-authorization
• Assist with referrals and pre-authorization approvals for medications and services as ordered by providers
• Draft correspondences, schedule appointments, organize and maintain records and files
• Provide assistance to members as needed
