Job summary

The Nisqually Generations Healing Center seeks a Patient Service Representative I to provide front-line clerical support, check-in/out, scheduling, and accurate documentation. This role supports medical, dental, MAT, SUD, and behavioral health services with an emphasis on confidentiality and compassionate care for diverse patients.

The PSR I collaborates with clinic staff, maintains records in EHR, verifies insurance, answers calls, and adapts to changing needs while upholding HIPAA and privacy

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 2+ years in medical/clinical or behavioral health office, EHR and patient service experience.
• Must pass pre-employment drug screen and criminal background check.

Responsibilities

• Welcoming and assisting patients with professionalism and empathy.
• Facilitating patient check-in and check-out procedures.
• Coordinating appointment scheduling across departments.
• Verifying insurance coverage and updating patient demographics.
• Assisting patients with insurance enrollment as applicable.
• Answering phone calls and routing messages.
