Job summary

Select Medical Lakeland invites a Patient Service Specialist to join our outpatient physical therapy center. You will front-line greet and register patients, explain visit flow and next appointment steps, and ensure smooth checkout at the desk.

The role entails scheduling in-person and phone appointments, coordinating with insurers and external partners, and handling co-pays and authorizations to support seamless patient care.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 1 year of medical office experience preferred.
• Insurance verification experience required or preferred.

Responsibilities

• Greet and register patients and provide information about what to expect during their visit and their next appointment at checkout.
• Schedule patient appointments in person and via phone.
• Coordinate with attorneys' offices, insurance companies and translation services; support operations and business development teams.
• Collect co-pays, manage payer approvals, and conduct insurance authorizations and verifications.
