Job summary

Providence Swedish is seeking a Patient Service Coordinator II MA-C to support clinic coordination across multiple patient care services. The role involves scheduling new patients, follow-ups, treatments, and diagnostic tests, along with verifying insurances and obtaining referrals.

You will maintain medical records, handle billing issues, and manage multiple phone lines, acting as a liaison with patients and families.

Qualifications

• Graduate of certified medical assistant program.
• Upon hire: Washington Medical Assistant Certification.
• Upon hire: National Provider BLS - American Heart Association.
• 1 year of medical assistant experience in a healthcare setting.

Responsibilities

• Schedule new patients and follow-up clinic appointments.
• Arrange subsequent treatments and requested diagnostic tests.
• Acquire insurance verifications, referrals and authorizations.
• Prepare and maintain the patient’s medical record; reconcile billing issues.
• Answer multiple phone lines and triage phone calls.
