Job summary

Providence Swedish in Seattle is seeking a Senior Patient Services Specialist to support patient care and clinic coordination across multiple Cancer Institute campuses. You will schedule new patient consultations, follow-up visits, and treatments while handling insurance verifications, referrals, and authorizations.

You will maintain accurate patient records and assist with billing reconciliations in a fast-paced clinical environment.

Qualifications

• Oncology administrative training completed within six months.
• Medical Terminology Certification or completion within 180 days.
• 1 year healthcare setting experience preferred (office, scheduler).
• Experience obtaining insurance verifications, referrals and authorizations.

Responsibilities

• Schedule new patient consultations, follow-up visits, and treatments.
• Obtain insurance verifications, referrals and authorizations.
• Prepare and maintain accurate patient records; reconcile billing issues.
• Answer multiple phone lines and triage calls.
• Support clinic coordination across Cancer Institute campuses.
• Communicate empathetically with oncology patients.
